Daniel Bacon

Over the past two decades, Daniel Bacon has built an impressive career with over 100 credits in film and television, complemented by more than 20 theater credits. His journey in the entertainment industry has been marked by a series of standout performances and memorable roles, showcasing his versatility and skill as an actor.

Among his numerous credits, Daniel has garnered attention for his featured roles in films such as Toxic Skies and The Day The Earth Stood Still. These roles not only highlighted his acting prowess but also established him as a reliable and talented performer in the industry. Additionally, his guest-starring roles on popular television shows like The Bridge and Supernatural further solidified his reputation as a sought-after actor, capable of delivering compelling performances across different genres and mediums.

One of Daniel’s most notable achievements was his supporting lead role in the Steven Spielberg-directed film, The Big Friendly Giant. Working alongside one of the most acclaimed directors in the industry was a testament to Daniel’s talent and dedication to his craft. His performance in the film showcased his ability to bring depth and authenticity to his characters, earning him praise from audiences and critics alike.

In addition to his work in film and television, Daniel has also made a mark in the world of animation, voicing the character of Rhodey/War Machine on the multi-season animated series Iron Man: Armored Adventures. His voice work added a new dimension to his career, expanding his reach to new audiences.

Beyond his on-screen performances, Daniel has also made significant contributions behind the scenes as an audition reader for casting directors. Over the past 12 years, he has worked with casting directors such as Clark & Page, Mayers & Brandstatter, and Michelle Allen, bringing his professional demeanor and strong reading skills to the table. His work as an audition reader has not only helped casting directors find the right talent for their projects but has also earned him a strong reputation in the industry for his professionalism and reliability.

Daniel has studied extensively, starting at Gastown Actor’s Studio, where he laid the foundation for his acting career. He continued his training at the Lyric School of Acting, where he refined his skills under the guidance of experienced instructors. His commitment to his craft led him to study with David Rotenberg from Toronto’s Professional Actor’s Lab, further expanding his knowledge and understanding of acting techniques. Additionally, his work with renowned acting coach Larry Moss challenged him to push boundaries and explore new aspects of his craft.

Daniel began his teaching career at the Lyric School of Acting with Kate Twa. His experience and his dedication to his students made him a valuable member of the teaching team, inspiring and guiding aspiring actors on their own journeys. Daniel also played an integral role in the development of the Vancouver Acting School, where he contributed his expertise and insight to help shape the next generation of actors.

Daniel’s passion for acting and his willingness to continually learn and grow serve as an inspiration to aspiring actors everywhere, making him a true asset to the industry.
