* Actors will be paired with a partner and assigned a short scene

Andrea Drepaul

SUMMER 2026 Beyond Acting ~ One-Night Workshop THE ART OF BELIEF

Instructor: Andrea Drepaul

Thursday September 10 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Price: $29.99

Topics Covered:

This immersive two-hour workshop explores how great acting isn’t about “performing” it’s about believing. Many actors get trapped in overthinking auditions, trying to make “strong choices,” or seeking approval in the room. This workshop shifts the focus away from external performance and toward imagination as the gateway to truthful work. Through guided exercises within audition technique, actors will learn how to fully see themselves inside the world of the role, allowing the body and nervous system to respond as if the circumstances are real. When imagination becomes reality, the line between acting and living disappears creating grounded, nuanced, and deeply believable performances.

– Discuss Imagination, how it works, why we need it and how actors can benefit from it.
– Receive a monologue in class and that is the story we will work from. We will use imagination to create the worldview, points of view.
– Get real notes & guidance on how to give a truthful performance.
