Starting his acting journey at the tender age of 6, Hans’ dream was to become a Power Ranger on TV. Over the years, he found his way into many facets of the entertainment industry, from stage to screen, improv, and comedy. Eventually, he attended the University of Alberta with a focus on drama and film studies. From there, he continued his theatre career before moving toVancouver to pursue film.

There aren’t many departments Hans hasn’t found himself in, from acting, directing, producing, fight/intimacy coordination, gripping and gaffing, writing, and more. He has worked on several features, including Camp Death and Bigfoot Country; series such as Eternity Tomorrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Alaska Daily, and The Good Doctor; he’s directed several plays, and wrote and produced the award-winning short Poenitet.

In 2014, he decided to combine his practical experience with his academic background and create a series of courses. Since then, he has taught for several institutions specializing in several fields. His text analysis focused on scene study, technical acting for camera, advanced stage work for theatre, acting for comedy/sketch, Improv for actors, accents and dialects, and business of acting courses.

Hans brings a wealth of knowledge and skill, both technical and academic, to his teaching with the ever-growing goal of being an asset to young actors everywhere.
